Huitzilopochtli Guide: Evony 2026 Best Ranged Main General
Introduced in the 2026 Heavenly Fire Ceremony event, Huitzilopochtli is a new Epic Historic General in Evony. This guide details his buffs, explains how to unlock the general and his skin, compares him with recent ranged generals, and suggests strategic pairings.

General Background
Huitzilopochtli, the Aztec god of the Sun and War, has a name that evokes a burning arrow streaking across Mesoamerica’s skies. He sprang from his mother’s womb wielding a fire serpent, shattering the darkness and casting the rebellious stars into eternal night so the sun could rise for the first time. From then on, warriors’ blood sustained the endless struggle between day and night.
He led the wandering tribes across the wilderness and revealed a divine sign in Lake Texcoco: an eagle perched atop a cactus. There, the Mexica founded Tenochtitlan, erecting the Templo Mayor with twin temples piercing the sky. He was a ravenous sun, and every conquest demanded sacrifice. Obsidian blades and altar flames marked the empire’s deepest devotion, while fallen warriors became hummingbirds, following him across the sky. Though invaders razed the Templo Mayor and buried its altar, Huitzilopochtli never died. Carved on the Sun Stone, he slumbers beneath the ruins and wakes with every sunrise—the undying heartbeat of the Aztec Empire.
